Costs
We have a base in the northwest in Skelmersdale, Lancashire and also in East Anglia, near Woodbridge in Suffolk. If you are able to collect the equipment we enjoy spending time going through things with you. This is also possible when we personally deliver the equipment.
Birth pool
£225 for up to a four week hire. Most hirers choose to start their hire two weeks before their due date.
Sundries
Extra days beyond the end of the four week period is @£8.00 per day. Do not worry that you will not be able to keep the pool until the birth. Any extension of the hire period is settled up at the end of your hire.
Extra new input hose-pipe can be supplied @ £2.00 per metre. Just measure between the taps and where you intend to position the pool and add on a couple of metres to allow for it going down to the floor and up and over the side of the pool far enough for it not to ‘jump out’.
Optional Disposable Liner: Some people prefer to have their own personal pool liner which fits inside the liner supplied with the pool. It folds over the rim. This is a personal choice and not mandatory. This can be supplied at a cost of £45.00 if in stock. Most hirers prefer not to have one as the main liner is designed for purpose.
Baptismal
pool
£140 for a long weekend hire. Pools are usually collected on Thursday or Friday and returned Monday or Tuesday.
Transportation
If you cannot collect and return the pool yourselves from one of our two bases (the pool will fit into the boot and back seat of any average car) then here are our Delivery and Collection options
Optional delivery and/or collecion is available at £47.50 standard for distances under 50 miles for one round trip - or at 48 pence per mile for further distances (round trips)
We provide this as a personal service and are happy to help you erect the equipment if appropriate at the time of delivery or demonstrate how to do it and offer tips for the use of the equipment.
When collecting the pool we ask for it to be emptied, dismantled, cleaned and dried and ready for transportation when we arrive.

Booking & Payment
Booking: please use the relevant hire booking form below. Once you submit the form, we will email you back with confirmation and details of how to pay
Payment: we currently accept payment by Bank Transfer (preferred) or by cheque. Full payment should be made by two weeks before the hire starts. (Cheques should be made out to Blue Lagoon Birth Pools).
Deposit: If booking in advance, a non-refundable £50 deposit is required to reserve your pool. The balance of the full hire fee should be paid two weeks before your hire. Last minute hires must be paid in full at the time of booking.
Damage Retainer deposit: a separate £100 deposit is payable with all hires which is returnable when everything is received back and checked to be in good condition. If paid by bank transfer we will need your bank details to facilitate a refund.
Refunds: The booking deposit is non-refundable, but the balance is refundable up to 4 days prior to the start of the hire. Thereafter no refunds are given should the pool hire be cancelled.
